Mt. Cheaha

Last week my husband and I visited Mt. Cheaha, which is the highest point in Alabama.  It was a really fun (and windy and cold) day and I can't believe we had never been there together before.

Here's me, appearing to be looking at something very important.

Seriously, it was so windy it was really hard to stand up!

It was really a lovely day.  We went and ate greek pizza at the best place ever and then stopped at a thrift store on the way home (I got great stuff!).

    1. We don't usually because my husband isn't huge on nature. I'm slowly bringing him outdoors though!

    1. Yep! It's silly to think that we have any real mountains in Alabama, but hey, I'll take what I can get. I love mountains of any kind!

    1. It was a bit of a drive up there, but the trail is completely accessible, which makes it great for kids.

  12. Wow, I love seeing photos of the area you live in. It is so beautiful. The leaves have long gone here, so it's refreshing to know it is still so lovely in other parts of the country!
