What I Wore- Mother Nature

This dress came from one of the most unique "thrifting" experiences I've ever had.  My friend Jill used to work at a community college in the theater department.  She told me that they were clearing out their wardrobe department by having a sale where you got a bag full of clothes (a GARBAGE bag) for just $5.00.  As if that wasn't good enough, she got me the VIP treatment and we went in before anyone else got to look.  I thought I had died and gone to vintage heaven.  Needless to say, I wanted everything, but I came out with ONLY 4 bags of stuff.  This dress was one of the things I got.  As much as I love it, I can't actually wear it out because, well, it won't size up in the back unless I break a few ribs or something.  That's ok though.  I enjoyed wearing it in my backyard and feeling like mother nature for a moment.

I hope everyone's week is going well.  I got a bit a bad news that a friend's mother passed away, so I'll be making a quick trip home tomorrow.  It's just one of those painful reminders of how short life can be.  On a less depressing note, I have dye in my hair right now!  I didn't really have enough to cover the top, so a trip to Sally's is in order for tomorrow.  It's not a huge change, but I needed to freshen up my roots.  Have a great rest of your week!!!
