Mori Style

 (source)

I've said it many times, but I'm a huge fan of just about everything Japanese.  The fashion is no exclusion.  To them, fashion is much more about expressing yourself rather than just trying to look good.  You've probably all heard of Lolita fashion, but I love what's called Mori.  Mori actually means forest in Japanese, so "Mori-girl" literally translates to forest girl.  It doesn't mean you look like you've been lost in a forest for a year (no flannel or hiking boots here).  It's more like romantic fairy tale fashion.  Lots of airy fabric, layers, and lace.  It also has a vintage feel to it and I think that's what initially drew me to it.  It's all about being natural and lovely.  One of the best sources for all things Mori is OhYeahMoriGirl.  They have ideas on everything from Mori fashion to home decor to just plain beautiful pictures of nature.  It's such a lovely fashion that anyone can pull off.
