Weekend Review

I had a fantastic weekend.  I hope you did too!  I did a lot of work, and I'll have a big announcement on Thursday.  You'll just have to wait until then to find out what it is (and I'm not pregnant so just forget about that).

I've been getting out and walking 4 miles each day, and it makes me feel so much better.  I've already lost over 5 pounds since Friday, but most of that was from sweating out every ounce of water in my body.  Exercising outside in Alabama in the summer is like using a treadmill in a sauna.  I'm going to try to keep it up until I get to my goal weight, and then I may be a little more flexible with it as long as I can maintain a healthy weight.  I need something to motivate me every week.  I thought about allowing myself to buy 1 beauty item or accessory every week that I exercise everyday.  That way I give myself something to look forward to. 

What have you all done to stay motivated to exercise?  Any advice?


  1. That sandwich looks delicious!
    I find the more I go (I do box cardio and weights) the more I get hooked! And seeing little changes here and there is motivation enough.
    But if we're being honest - there's nothing like buying new clothes the next size down!

  3. Good for you with the exercise! I suck at it so don't have much advice. I think the motivation idea with a beauty product is a great idea.
    Love the pics too, your hair color is so cool! I wish I was brave to do anything other than black...but I'm just not. :)
