Thrifty Thursday #4




Here's some of my finds as of late.  I picked up these mushroom glasses for $0.50 each, and I'm keeping them.  They're just too darn cute to part with!  I love these owl salt and pepper shakers too.  I got a deal on this Pyrex bowl for $9.00.  I saw the other 2 matching bowls at a thrift store yesterday and got really excited, until I saw the price tag of $50.00.  And who doesn't love a Viewmaster?  Last but not least is my jackalope print.  It's so awesome and I have no idea why it was at the thrift store, but I'm glad I got it.

I guess it's true that when it rains, it pours, because I have to go home for another funeral tomorrow.  My childhood best friend's brother died in a car accident.  He was only 27.  But again, it's a reminder to live life to the fullest why you can.  I'm not talking about some YOLO crap, but really just to appreciate each day.  Anyways, tomorrow is Friday and I'm looking forward to a Saturday of yard sales and then going on a road trip next week!  It will be the first time that my husband and I have been on a trip somewhere that neither of us has been.  I'm super excited!!!

    I love the mushroom glasses! Very cool. I am so sorry to hear about your friends brother, that is awful. It's so sad when a young persons life is ended so short. I hope you have a fun road trip! Enjoy summer before it's gone!

    Those glasses are totally awesome. I would keep them as well! And I love finding good deals on vintage pyrex. I have A TON of it all packed up until I can hopefully find a place for it when the kitchen is done.
