5 Year Anniversary

This may look like I chose a random selection of pictures of my husband and I, but no, it's the only pictures of us!  He's not too fond of having his picture taken and would probably have a fit if he knew I was posting these.  He'll get over it.  

Anyways, I met my husband when we were 15.  Our best friends at the time were dating, and we hit it off and dated for about a year.  Because his parents were divorced, he eventually had to go back to live with his mom in Louisiana, and that's when we decided that a long distance relationship probably wasn't going to work.  I was sooo devastated.  I cried until I just couldn't cry any more.  My heart was broken and I really thought we would never get back together.  We attempted to get back in touch with each other over the years, but every time we did, one of us was dating someone else, so it seemed to be the end.

Fast forward 5 years.  I'm in college and I randomly get this e-mail from him saying he might be in town soon.  I was so excited.  He came by the store were I worked and we talked for a while.  Next thing I know we're dating again and living together.  It was as though we never spent any time apart.  I was always in love with him and just never stopped being in love.  We got married when we were 24, and here we are, 5 years later.  He's my best friend and I can't imagine life without him!

P.S.- Happy first day of fall!  We're spending our anniversary watching football and maybe grilling up a few steaks.
