Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!  I love Halloween, and what am I doing tonight?  Nothing.  I will be making some sort of Halloween meal and I'm sure we'll watch at least one horror movie.
I decided to dress up as a hipster Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time since I already had the pink hair!  I borrowed a dress from my vintage shop (because I own zero pink clothes) and crocheted myself a crown.  I know lots of you will be sharing your Halloween pictures as well and I can't wait to see them!

(If you are way more mature than I am and don't know who Princess Bubblegum is, then here you go)

    1. Ha! I use one of those curling wands and have had pretty good luck with it. I jack the heat up as high as I can. My hair is naturally curl though too, so that helps.

  21. Hi Karen!

Wow you are totally awesome and chic... so glad to have discovered your blog! Firstly, let me say how envious and jealous I am of your hair! I've wanted pink hair for SOOO long, but I'm way too scared of the damage it'll do to actually dye it. In the meantime, I'm considering extensions...

I love your blog. That pink dress is lovely. I love the pleats! I checked out your vintage shop, it's really nice! How do you like running a vintage shop on Etsy? I ask because I am also opening a vintage shop on Etsy very soon (open date is nov. 16th!) and I'm a little nervous! It's called amelia cake (vintage clothing only). I actually have a two piece DVF suit that looks really similar to that pink dress you are wearing! How cool!

Anyway, glad to have found you! We should be vintage seller friends. (Sorry, is it weird to ask that? lol!)

Enjoy the last of the weekend.

    1. Thanks Amber! I actually love having a vintage shop. I've done surprisingly well considering the lack of effort I put into it sometimes. I think the key is offering fair prices and having great pictures. We should absolutely be vintage selling friends! I can't wait to see your shop when it opens and good luck with it!

  26. I've also been meaning to ask you for a while, what do you use to curl your hair? It's always so perfectly curled!

    1. Thank Chantal! I use one of those ceramic curling wands and it's been great. I have naturally curly hair, so that helps too, but if I turn that curling iron up all the way on high and leave my hair on it for about 10 seconds, I've got curls that will last all day (that sounded a little like a commercial!).
