Food Friday- Blue Moon Autumn Sampler

I am fully aware that beer is not a food, but I had to pass along this sampler for the upcoming holidays!  It would be great if you're planning on having a housefull of people eating leftover turkey and watching football.  I'm not sure if they carry them at every grocery, but I got mine at Publix.  Here's what was inside...

Belgian White
This is their classic flavor, and although I love it, it's almost always better if you get it on tap.   And it's got to be served with an orange slice!

Harvest Pumpkin Ale
It's no secret I'm a sucker for anything with pumpkin in it, but this was seriously good.  They sell this as a 6-pack and is definitely worth picking up!

Caramel Apple Spiced Ale
This is the flavor that made me want to get this sampler, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed.  It wasn't bad, but it didn't have the apple-spice flavor I was hoping for.

Belgian-Style Pale Ale
Very good.  It's got a richer flavor than your run of the mill beer, but is not too heavy.

Although the clear winner for me was the Pumpkin Ale which can be purchased separately, this sampler is still worth trying!

  1. I have never seen anything as intriguing as that pumpkin ale. Holy man, I need to see if my tiny town liquor stores carry that stuff. Yum!

  5. I got this earlier in the fall and I was so disappointed in the caramel apple spiced ale. I love their pumpkin ale and this year I tried Punk'n - which was phenomenal.

    1. Glad it wasn't just me. It didn't taste a thing like caramel, apple, or spice. But the pumpkin is awesome!

  10. Okay, sooooo... this is crazy - but a while back my sweetie's parents bought us a 12-pack of Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale and we can't stand it :[ I think there are one or two beers missing, lol. I love Blue Moon's regular beers, it is just the flavored ones (not a pumpkin fan) that rub me the wrong way. Anyway, maybe I should ship you the rest of the Pumpkin Ale! Can you ship beer? Haha

  11. I collect vintage salt and pepper shakers, I'm trying sooo hard to resist buying that adorable squirrel!! I have one that is a similar idea, a kangaroo with two little joeys in her pouch, 1 is salt and 1 is pepper
