What I Wore- Election Day

Dress: Vintage-Thrifted
Cardigan & Tights: Target
Boots: JCPenney
Sweater Clips: Grandmother's
Glasses: Coastal.com

I wore this outfit last week on Election Day and asked my husband to snap a few pictures of me (ok, only one turned out really good).  I really didn't realize at the time that I had a little patriotic thing going on here.  This was the first time I had worn this dress because it's made out of that thick polyester fabric from the 60s and it's just been too warm.  I love it for the cooler weather though!

I really can't believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  Where does the time go?  Speaking of time, I just finished the first season of Doctor Who.  It's great, but it has yet to convince me that it's cult-worthy.  Maybe I just set my standards a bit too high with all the hype that's around it.  I'll just have to keep on watching!

  1. I love the colours in this outfit - those mustard tights are gorgeous. And the sweater guard...it's the little details :) I've also tried unsuccessfully to get in on the Dr Who mania..I've watched a couple of episodes but it just hasn't grabbed me yet! Apparently it varies massively though from one season to another and one doctor to another so I'm going to persevere and try and hopefully one day gain access to the Dr Who Club :)

    1. Thank you! I actually watched the first episode of the second season last night, and it was already better than the first season. So I'm sure it does get significantly better!

  4. Yes. Keep watching. The second season and David Tennant as the Doctor will break your heart. He's so perfect in that role.

  5. I love these colours. Very appropriate for the day. I especially love those mustard tights, I bought myself a pair but every time I put them on I feel like a Simpson so they have been thrown to the back of a drawer. Absolutely love them with these colours xo

  6. I love these colours. The neutral cardi looks great against the blue of the dress and your fab pink hair just sets it off perfectly. Also, I love sweater clips xx

  7. I take it when you say the first season of Doctor Who you mean the first of the moden sets? Cause Christopher Eccleston is good but David Tennant is made of magic and special things. If you're not convinced, watch the episodes 'Blink', 'Girl in the Fireplace' and 'Silence in the Library'. Aah.

Then you can fall in love with Matt Smith when you are done with all that!

  8. Very cute outfit! I know exactly how it is when you ask your partner to take some pictures of you. Usually you just get stressed out cuz they can't use the camera and then you get one picture that's good and a bit natural and others who just feels constrained!

Since I don't have cable I haven't seen it yet, but I'm quite curious!

    1. I usually use a timer, but it still only gives you a max of 10 seconds to get into place, and I still haven't mastered focusing using the timer. It's been an ongoing process of learning!

  15. I've started watching Dr. Who, too! I'm on the 2nd season right now. Eccleston isn't nearly as charming as Tennant. Don't give it up just yet!

  18. You look darling as usual. Thick polyester is great for these upcoming winter months :] Okay, so I must admit that I have not watched Dr. Who. However, everyone and their mother is talking about it - so it's probably time.
