Goodbye 2012!

First of all I want to apologize for my absence of late.  I've been trying to chill out and relax while I have a break from school and I've been taking it to the extreme (I haven't done much of anything!).  Which also means I don't really have anything interesting to share.  It's been nice staying away from my computer for a while though.  Everyone needs a break once in a while!
I wanted to look back on my resolutions from last year.  I have to say I did pretty good!  I have lots of goals for next year, but my only resolution is to get healthy.  Period.  No more excuses.  Exercise is just going to have to become part of my daily routine.  One thing I really want to do this year is run a marathon.  If I'm fit enough to do that, I've achieved my goal.  My diet isn't the worst, but it could certainly be better.  One thing I'm going to completely cut out this year is french fries.  No more greasy little potato sticks.  It may seem like a silly step to take towards a healthier life, but I've got to start somewhere!
Tomorrow I'm going to take some time on my blog and in my life to look towards the new year.  It's a special day for me!  I hope you all have a safe evening and I'll see you in 2013!

  1. I love that you were able to look back at your 2012 goals and how honest you were about whether you met them or not.

I remember grad school and feeling like I had no time to read for pleasure. Yet I missed it so much so I started making time for it and I realized that it actually made me more focused and get way ahead on my studies so that I could read. It became so worth it, and benefited my schooling, to make time to leisure read. I'm not saying I leisure read a lot then but as much as I made time for.:)

  2. It's always great to stay away. Cutting out french fries doesn't seem like a silly step! They're a weakness of mine too!
Good luck to you :D Happy New Year!

  3. I am totally with you on the healthier thing. It's time man, time to move my bum. I think cutting fries is a good idea, I have fries with my food every time I eat out, which isn't often but it adds up right? I wanted to walk my dog more this year too but I only did that when it was nice out.

    1. I've got to get in shape. I don't care about looking like a supermodel or anything, but I just want to live a healthier life so I can live as long as possible!

  6. I never meet all of mine. I did not succeed on 465. I think it's nice to just keep them on the list and keep trying to meet them! Sounds like you did a lot though!

  8. It must feel nice to cross some of those items off the list! I always have such good intentions before realizing how unrealistic my goals are. Alas. Although if I keep mass purchasing your amazing finds from your etsy shop I will be sure to help the budget! Yay! We both win!
